Campillo arose from a dream of creating a winery surrounded by vineyards, thus transferring the concept of Château to the land of Rioja wine.. An architectural space that opens to the Sierra Cantabria and Laguardia. When you climb the large staircase and cross its doors you feel all that led Julio Faustino Martínez to share his two passions, wine and architecture, in Campillo.
Bodegas Campillo is one of the few examples of the Château model in Rioja. Surrounded by 50 hectares of vineyards and sheltered by the Sierra Cantabria, Bodegas Campillo is located in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, in the medieval town of Laguardia.
Tasting Note: On the eye the wine is bright, straw yellow with greenish glints. The nose is very expressive with sweet, honeyed notes as well as vanilla
aromas from the American oak. In the background there is a floral touch of white flowers and the palate is round, homogeneous, elegant, with good acidity.
Food Matches: It matches with potatoes, fish and seafood. Goat and
Roquefort cheese. Basil pasta, fried tomatoes or vegetables.
