Chateau de Fieuzal, located in Pessac-Léognan, has once again created an exceptional set of wines in 2023 that continue to garner high praise from critics, particularly Wine Advocate's Yohan Castaing.
Owned by an Irish Family, the Quinns have lovingly restored Fieuzal to its glory and they continue to invest heavily in quality winemaking in the PessacLeognan area of Bordeaux. The wines are of staggering quality this year.
'Medium intensity cherry red, slate and crayon texture, well handled, austere, but structured, you can see the slow build of muscles through the palate, and the deepening black fruit character. Softly spoken compared to many vintages of this excellent wine, but there are layers here, good complexity, and skilful construction'
