Cracking Easter Case - 12 Bottles

We dug into our treasure trove of goodies and built an incredible Easter Mixed Case for you, with Saint Emilion Grand Cru, Malbec from Mendoza, Reserva Rioja from Spain, Sparkling rosé Cava from a top Producer and Garnacha from Navarra which is an absolute must try, its so delicious.

Avinyo Brut Rosé Reserva Cava

Move over Champagne. This is one of our finds of 2024 and newish to the WineOnline.ie portfolio.  Unique to Caves Avinyó, set on the border of Avinyonet del Penedès, enjoying fertile soils, deep and well-drained, with a silty clay loam texture, and thanks to the privileged location it benefits from a higher rainfall regime than our other vineyards. The plot is settled in a low-lying area, protected from the easterly Levant winds, making it the perfect location to grow the Pinot Noir from which we make our Rosé Sublim cava

Saint Emilion, France A better wine you could not have for Easter Sunday. You'll get this for €25 reduced from €35. However, as part of this case for Easter Sunday it is just €20 so it pays to treat yourself to the Cracking Easter Selection! 

Genertie Ilumine Chardonnay 
Burgundy, France

There is a high liklehood that this is the very best value white wine in our warehouse HQ. Outstanding White Burgundies have rose to over €40 or €50 per bottle and this still remains at €21 per bottle. It is showing wonderful development where the nose is honeyed once opened and the palate is clean and fresh with a nuttiness and a generous finish. An all star wine to serve on Easter Sunday. Pair this with fish, chowder, white meats and salads. 

Felino Malbec
Mendoza, Argentina

Paul Hobbs went to Mendoza in the 1980's, tasked with doing soil analysis to determine what grape varieties might thrive best there. He returned a year later with Malbec plant cuttings from Cahors in the South of France. So impressed was he with the potential for Malbec to grow here, that he built his own winery and started to plant Malbec,as well as consulting for other new wineries there. This is great Malbec. It is pure and fresh and indicative of the quality of the fruit, the vines and the winemaking. Its a real treat. 

Aurkitu Garnacha 
Navarra, Spain

It is finally seen as a grape variety that doesn't need to be blended with other varieties. Grenache stands on its own two feet now. It is thick skinned, so it handles heat and climate change well. The berries get so juicy and plump that they make the most delicious bursting red wines, generous in flavour and profile. This is unoaked, aged in amphora tanks and is is utterly wonderful. It is easy going and light in style. Our team absolutely love it! 
 
Cecios Riola Reserva 
Rioja, Spain

Consumption of Rioja wine in Ireland was up by 11% in 2023 and it is all because we love Reserva in ireland. Crianza and Gran Reservas were down, but we continue to drink more and more reserva wines year after year, and as long as that happens, we will continue to source great reserva rioja wines for you. Aged for 24 months in barrel and 12 months in bottle it is ready to drink as soon as you open it, something not many wines can boast!
