Since 1980, the Hahn family have cultivated their hillside vineyards in Monterey County which they purchased when they realised the land was destined for greater things than grazing cattle, sheep and horses. Today, Hahn Winery remains committed to crafting rich, supple wines which consistently over deliver on quality. They now farm 650 acres of estate vineyards and enjoy world-wide acclaim for their Cabernet, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Tasting Note: Rich notes of raspberry and blackberry framed by toasted oak and vanilla bean. The mouthfeel is graceful and silky. Layers of dark cherry and currants stay pronounced through the long, balanced finish with hints of peppercorn and crushed spice.
Food Matches: Fabulous on its own but matches extremely well with BBQ meat, chilli, beef roast, game and strong cheese.
