If the very best White Burgundy is your wine of choice but prices and availability are a problem, look no further than this beautiful Chardonnay. Tiny amounts of this wine are made each year from a single vineyard high up in the hills of Elgin.
Tasting Note:
Grown on post glacial alluvial soils, this Fynbos shows fabulously intense, crystalline, lemon and lime cordial notes, with hints of lemon peel, river stones and savoury umami hints. The oak is restrained and subtle, integrated beautifully with a sleek glycerol palate with textured layers of lime peel, sweet citrus pastille fruits and subtle roasted notes. A very classy expression.
Food Matches: Lobster or Turbot in a cream sauce. Shellfish and Chicken.
