Description:
Season Small crops but a terrific aromatic season for Pinot Gris. Ripened in the cool of March. Wombat Creek Vineyard the predominant vineyard source in Gladysdale (Upper Yarra).
Winemaking: Hand picked and gently pressed. Fermented in both tank and cask. Eight weeks on lees post fermentation for additional creaminess, complexity and aromatics. Gentle handling and minimal filtration.
Appearance: Vibrant straw colour with green edges.
Bouquet: Faintly aromatic with classic, perfumed Pinot Gris characters of pear, orange blossom and honeysuckle.
Palate: Refined, dry structural palate with green apple and mandarin. Textural, gently aromatic and soft acidity.
Food Matches: Fish/ Shellfish/ Cheese/ Risotto
