This Old Vine Zinfandel is sourced from vineyards in Dry Creek and Alexander Valley which have an average age of 70 years. The vineyards are carefully managed to minimise yields and maintain excellent quality levels with green harvesting and thinning at veraison. These older vines are especially sought after since they produce smaller quantities of concentrated Zinfandel grapes with a notable spicy character.
Tasting Note:
The powerful flavour profile opens with hints of cassis, blackberry and chocolate on the nose while the palate has a luscious full body, rounded tannins and a very long finish.
