Fred Loimer owns 60 hectares around Langenlois, in the sunny Kamptal region of Lower Austria... He makes a range of wines from the excellent value to the superb, single varietal Rieslings and Gruner Veltliners. Unlike many Austrian producers who go for an overly rich and sweet style, Fred gets full ripeness in the vineyard yet ferments to dryness, managing to produce wines with lovely definition, zest and balance on the palate.
Tasting Note:
Fine aromas of pear, green apple and a hint of exotic fruits. The wine has great, lively acidity and has a refreshing light body. Persistent fruit concentration on the palate is full of zesty apple, ripe lime and spice, with good finesse and a precise, fresh finish.
